Jet2.com have announced a new route French from Edinburgh for the summer season.
Low cost airline Jet2.com are to commence a new once weekly Avignon flight from Edinburgh. Flights will be operated every Saturday afternoon from June 18th 2007.
Timetable.
Edinburgh – Avignon
SAT 14:30 – 17:50 LS845
Avignon – Edinburgh
SAT 18:20 – 19:45 LS846

If you look at the location of Avigion (I had to look it up) It is very strange, its right down the bottom of France near enough MRS and NCE.
Its not like they had a spare 2-3 hours in the schedule and decied to throw in somthing short if that was the case you would expect somewhere like NTE or LRH.
There must be a reason behind this because I would have thought it better to launch a route to somewhere slightly better known like LYS or TLS.

Random! But welcome.:) Can’t help but think BOD or Toulouse on a 2 or 3 weekly basis would have been better if they had room in their schedule for it.

It is a strange route, especially at 1x weekly. Oh well, time will tell us what happens!
