This was subbing on a Channex call-sign, probably for Flyglobespan? … previously registered as VH-CZF?

It was in Fly Globespan’s colours – looked as if it was undergoing maintainence….
The one that Jet2’s G-CELZ is subbing for? 🙂

There was some controversy with their 767’s missing a major service in the day’s when ANZ ran the show, but overall the whole Ansett fleet was maintained to a very high standard
good good 🙂

Read Jethro’s reply. 🙂 G-CELR is having a C check. Could be that.

Anyone have the reg. of the B737 sitting outside the BAMG hanger at the moment, right next to where the BAC flights park up? I was passing by today, but never caught the registration – stupid trees…
Could it be the unpainted 737 of Titan that was sitting on Block 30 for a few weeks.?
By: Silver Snapper - 17th August 2004 at 15:47
Must be Ansett as it was previously with them, VH-CZI.

Yeah maybe your right.
Joe – I have flown on G-CELV but never noticed it because it was dark. I notice a few of the original Jet2 a/c are like that, and could probably do with a touch up.
I’m sure they are Tom, will anyone really know what
titles lurk below ‘lima victor’?

Well that begs the question, why has G-CELZ got Jet2 Paris on the nose, when its not flying the Paris route? Shouldn’t they have called CELE that?
A logical point, but perhaps it’s a bit of advertising to promote the destination

Just to clarify. Taken from the ‘Notes’ section at http://www.jethros.i12.com/FLEETS/Listings/CHANNEL_EXPRESS.html
“Boeing B733-337 GCELZ will enter service 14/15 Aug. It will initially fly for FlyGlobespan, covering for GCELR which is due a ‘C’ check. When LR returns, LZ will then cover for GCELP, before taking up night Post Office flights from 01 Nov”
GCELE is due to enter service 01 Sep for the start of the Paris route
By: Silver Snapper - 16th August 2004 at 18:14
I thought I read somewhere it was to be G-CELE,
I have not seen that one yet..This one, G-CELV is interesting…can anyone make out the titles under the
‘thin’ Jet2 fuselage colour.?
Apologies for the quality….

Why is Globespans new a/c in Jet2 colours?
I see ‘Jet2 Paris’ as its name, Jet2 start CDG in September from LBA, coincidence?
Jet2 were just ‘subbing’ for Flyglobespan…
Yes Jet2 to Paris could turn-out to be the inaugaral aircraft
on LBA/CDG. 😎
By: Silver Snapper - 16th August 2004 at 18:03
Yip for Fly Globespan. 🙂
There were two other Flyglobespan channex on stand also.
things must be looking-up? 😉
By: LBARULES - 16th August 2004 at 17:55
Ah right, so is this Jet2s next new aircraft? I thought I read somewhere it was to be G-CELE, seems a bit strange with Jet2 Paris on the nose!

It’s just filling in for Fly Globespan, Jet 2 and Fly Globespan have one thing in common. They have aircraft supplied to them by Channel Express.
