jet2 new route manchester to milan

Manchester to Milan ‘ere we go, ‘ere we go, ‘ere we go!
As Milan and Italy continue to be rocked by the football scandal (and we don’t just mean them winning the World Cup), we’ve been busy making sure residents from Manchester and the North West can get to the San Siro cheaper than ever before with our latest route to Milan.

Alitalia obviously didn’t have the balls to continue with the route, so we’ve come to the aid of stranded football fanatics and shopaholics alike, removing the penalties of over-pricing and off-side service and we’re really looking forward to kicking off our far superior service in October this year, with fares starting from only £8.99 (excl taxes).

With the average cost of a demoted Serie A player now costing little more than a pint of beer (which in Milan is only £2, by the way), you could be picking up more than just a cheap pair of Italian leather shoes from this shopping Mecca.

god isnt that the truth 😛 but LE is a gooden actuall!!

Yeah was sound. It seems to be normally doing the Belfast and Paris runs out of LBA, and they are normally always on time, so can’t moan! Jet2’s fleet looks a bit of a mess at LBA at the mo lol, you have CELD with the ill fitting door, and CELC with the odd grey nose!

Good to see your airline are as good as ever though mate, the crew were superb as ever, and punctuality was second to none also as ever! One thing that did surprise me was that there was absolutely no service, no bar service or anything! Always has been when i’ve flown to BFS with Jet2 before.

Its very good to see Jet2 doing some expansion from Manchester, even more so on a route that deserves a good service. I can see both Jet2 and BACON doing very well with the departure of Alitalia. Although its a bit sad to lose a Womble . Good news though on the whole! 🙂

The press release is very Ryanair like. Alitalia are also pulling out of DUB with FCO dropped last year and now MXP bites the dust.

Thats good news, Alitalia had a good run, but i dont think they were up to scratch with us, they were alot of delays and with a aircraft change almost everyseason. first it was the Airbus 319, then MD-80, Then the Embraer 170.

Good new for Jet2! and the London gatwick service, they might be putting a 733 on the route and that might be why they are reducing to 2 times daily.

I actually think that press release is really funny! Good on Jet2 :).

Flying them again this morning made me realise they are still easily my favourite low cost carrier, even if G-CELE isn’t in peak condition anymore ;).

And on another note it’s good to see the Jet2 Manchester-Gatwick service continuing for the winter, though it’s only twice daily now.

Looking through Alitalia’s timetable on there website, it seems that their last Manchester to Milan route operates on Saturday 28th October 2006, which coincides with Jet2 starting on Sunday 29th October 2006.
