Jet2 have today announced new routes to the Italian city of Venice, as well as runs to Murcia (Spain) and the return of the Nice run (most probably for Ski access?) for later on in the winter season. This is in addition to the new routes to Belfast that was announced last week, and Geneva at the beginning of last month. Increased services to Palma de Majorca and Malaga will also be operated for Summer 2004.
Not too bad really, wasn’t expecting Murcia as they already fly to Alicante, but Venice looks an interesting choice. Nice worked well this summer and was most likely just dropped from Oct-Jan. I was expecting another Ski run such as Salzberg or alike, which may still come about, and another more buisness suited run for the Winter similar to the BFS route, perhaps a German run? These routes (AMS, BFS and alike) are usually launched within 1 month of their announcement and so again could crop up in no time!
