Jet2 Quick Question

Hey,

Flying with Jet2 tomorrow LBA to Jersey, booked choosing online check in without selecting seats, however came to check in online yesterday, and printed the boarding pass off there was no seat number given – is there a reason for this as I thought Jet2 was allocated seating?

Also, how much would it cost if they rejected our hand luggage and made us check it in, as the bag size is pushing the limits?

Many thanks for any info,
Regards,

Well done for doing wonders for your company’s customer relations on a very public forum. I hope you win ‘friendly employee of the year’

Haha, hence the sarcastic smilies in my post … We don’t really get paid more for charging passengers, wish we did though might make the pay packet a bit more attractive!

We do however get £1 per extra legroom seat sold!! 😉

I see the jet2 guage has copied the ryanair style, by making a card board box to fit ove the top of a bag.!

I work on the ground for Jet2 at LBA, and can’t ever say I have seen a boarding pass printed without a seat number. Yes they do print duplicate bar codes for different passengers from time to time but seat numbers are always allocated. However if you are travelling with a wheelchair or infant you will need to go to check in even if you selected online check in as you are pre allocated seats in certain rows.

If your hand luggage is rejected (I’m sure you will know by now if it has been rejected) there will be a £12 charge to check it in, providing you haven’t already paid for bags?

Just risk it with the hand baggage and in the event any jobsworth at the gate queries it, say, “but the person that checked me in said it was fine”.

Haha, thats why us jobsworthys at Jet2.com put a hand luggage tag on every bad that is checked at check in and why we place hand luggage gagues at the gates. We dont let no Bugg€rs slip past us! :dev2: We get paid more for charging passengers!! 😉

Online check in with Jet2 is getting very popular with its passengers.

This is because like the majority of every lo co, it is free!

I check in Jet2.com flights almost daily and ive never seen that happen before! Just report to the check in desk present your boarding pass and explain the situation! Recommend you get there at least 2 hours before! Online check in with Jet2 is getting very popular with its passengers. Im often seeing flights that already have half the pax load checked in online!

With Regards to your Bag! Try and fit it in the JET2 Gauge! If it dont fit the staff should make you check it in! I would. Should be between £10-£16 pound one way! Be warned Jet2 also inspect hand baggauge at the gate and will charge you at the gate if the bag is over sized! and place the bag in the hold! You get a 10 kilo hand bagguage allowance but it all depends if it fits in the gauge!
