Hi all
Probably an easy answer for someone, but in amongst their positioning flights to retrieve their planes from Tees Valley (diverts earlier when the pilots disagreed with ATC’s assessment of LBA’s runway…) Jet2 have a positioning flight listed today from LBA…
LS188P BRIZE NORTON 1330
Can anyone tell me why they’re sending a plane down there?

m not sure if it is until March, but the internal time table is only showing it until then!!

We have been doin a few MOD flights out of BZZ for a while, the internal timetable shows we have flights in and out of there until March..
the 188P was a positioning flight in from LBA, then the next day it usually departs for NHD (Minhad Military Airport, UAE) close to Dubai..
Until March!!!! 😮 Ahhh does that mean Jet2 stop flying for the Mod after then?? If i have to fly RAF when i come home in May i will actually burst into tears. I’d rather walk back to the UK than fly RAF
I must admit though i was shocked to see a Jet2 757 at BZZ for my flight to Minhad and top marks it was a superb flight. 🙂

Think they normally stop in Minhad Air Base in the UAE – Not sure if that’s it’s final destination or it goes onwards to Kuwait or somewhere like that.

They do 2 flights a week for the MOD out of Brize Norton, usually to places sandier than here and I don’t mean Costa del Sol type.
