I am looking for some pictures of Jetstream T2, T3 or J31 tail docking. We have got a full set but no drawings on how it assembles. It may only need a picture of some assembled and we can get some idea of where to start. We have tried several avenues to get the manual or drawings but the only one that will help is the manufacturer and they want thousands of pounds and of course they will be the only ones allowed to assemble it.

An update from the NAM Curator / Archive:
There are 45 AP’s on the aircraft and as far as he can see there is nothing regarding the assembly of the tail unit and the staging needed for maintenance work. A couple of NAM members worked on them at Cranwell and they believe this staging may have been developed and installed by contractors. Sorry!

Thats a tail dock, with an aircraft on jacks I would surmise. Jetstream? I cannot quite make out.

Do you think that’s it behind it?

It could be under maintenance staging
I’ll ask the Curator to check again when he’s back on Monday.

Something like this I’d guess?

I have just checked with NAM’s Curator and they do have Jetstream APs in the Archive. Sadly the phrase “tail docking” does not come up in the glossary of terms – is there another description of the information that you’re looking for?
