Hi Guys,
We need to find a Jetstream fuselage for a film project, any condition considered. All we really need is the fuselage itself so if its missing wings and tail that’ll save the cutting! A stripped out interior is also perfectly OK..
£100 donation to RAFBF if any lead results in a purchase!
Thanks for your help!

Resurrecting an old Zombie thread – does anyone know of any Jetstream aircraft for disposal, under threat/possibly available – a cockpit section (it would have to be as complete as poss) or a fuselage would do…
Many thanks

Obviously too late for the initial O.P. but maybe available for a sequel? Anyway, a historical update for G-GAVA, c/n 785.

Back at Dunsfold today and one of the stored Jetstreams has been painted gold with lettering on the tail, I think it said ‘Time off’ or ‘Time out’. Sorry for vagueness, I was driving past! No idea whether the new livery is a precursor to a new life or applied temporarily for filming etc, but it’s certainly eye-catching. No sign of any props yet so it won’t be leaving imminently…

Yep, that’s them. I missed have missed the third one!

Are these the birds…?

If so then they are the ex RN T3’s ZE438 now N437UH, ZE439 now N437SS and ZE441 now N437TH…
I believe they were bought with a view to using them for some sort of maritime recon training venture but cant find my source…!

Seeing as this thread has re-emerged, here’s another Jetstream-related question for the type experts out there. For months I’ve been watching a couple of Jetstreams from afar on my twice weekly trips to Dunsfold. They appear to be USA N-registered, the dark blue stripe says ‘ex-Navy’ but I might be completely wrong… Does anyone know what they were/are doing there? Anything to do with aforementioned movie project? They just seemed to be in open storage, apparently prop-less, at a couple of different points on the aerodrome. In the last fortnight there was feverish activity around one of them, I’m guessing it was being re-prepared for flight as it’s now disappeared. Any info appreciated, thanks!

HI111 Thanks for thr reposting of ny image of the cockpit of G-PLAH Jetstream 31 C/N 640.
The cockpit of this aircraft has now been removed from Millom to be converted into a Simulator.
I wonder where it is now???
Well I don’t know where it is now, but it is interesting how these things can live on.
I was not strictly accurate in my original comment as I see PLAH is not a Handley Page example. The ones I was involved with at Radlett were in the Wxx and Xxx reg ranges.

Paul,
Many thanks for the Good News that G-UIST has been saved, any chance of you posting some images of her?? I was lucky enough to fly in 4 of the Highland Jetstreams and G-SEIL, but UIST eluded me and althouigh I managed to see her @ Inverness, she was in the distance, so I was nat able to get a good shot of her.
I look forward to seeing her, Please let me know is she is making a trip to central Scotland.

Hi Gary,
Yes you are right. I have only seen the brief bit of footage too, but you can see the destroyed Jetstream (EDAY was one apparently), the rest were ex-Mil.
I have been told by the man closest to the project that they got through six!
UIST was the only partial survivor.
Her role in the fim was as internal cockpit shots. Various lights and LED’s have been fitted to make it look brighter, but I have whipped most of those out already.
UIST has a special place in my heart so I had to save her, if it had been a non HWY J31 that had survived I would have passed it by.
See you in the hangar sometime,
Paul.
