Well known display pilot Jimmy Rossi was killed yesterday after his F86 FU-711 23711 “Crapshooter” had an engine mallfunction/explosion during take off from Santa Domingo. The aircraft crashed some 5 miles from the field after it exploded during an emergency landing in a field.

I’ve heard of several Sabres being lost recently.
Is the Sabre a `hot ship` ?

Didn’t know much about him, but reading some of the obituary articles can’t fail to leave you deeply impressed.

Irreverent thought. Isn’t 7-11 a convenience store chain in the States? I wonder if they’d p*ss*d him off at some point?
