No she didn’t fly today, great shame.
I was told that the costs that Mr Bradshaw was asking TFC to cover were not agreeable with the ‘Gov’ner’.Not sure about the DA, its seems to make sense as its been out of display for so long.

I think that with the astronomical cost of 3rd party liability insurance John would have cover for flying in on Thursday or Friday & flying out Sunday evening or Monday but not for flying during the show, I think that a lot of warbird owners may be going the same route in the future.
Nice to see it out & about again though! I remember spending a Sunday measuring road bridges along the route from Southampton docks to Eastleigh airport to make sure we could tow it along the road from the ro ro ferry it arrived in the UK on to the airfield where we put the outer wings on ready for it’s first flight in the UK. that was a good few years ago, around 1990 I think.
Cheers…………

The Sea Fury was never going to fly at Legends, always to be static. As it was a warbird (and Damien, I realise what you’re saying about what was over the far side), it was parked on the flightline..

Apparently John has no DA for the Fury, that’s why it didn’t fly.

She didn’t fly on Saturday and it appears she won’t today either.
I do hope to be proved wrong though!

did she fly?

Did anybody get any snaps of her flying at the show?

Maybe next Legends we’ll see 3 airworthy Furies?

I saw her at RIAT last year, and it looked in super shape.
The prop was gleaming 🙂
