John Dankworth RIP

Often underestimated but for me one of the greats. He was an estimable player, arranger, composer and educator and was doubly blessed in discovering and then partnering one of the great jazz singers of the last three decades.

Another great Jazz musician gone to God..saw him and Cleo here many years ago and thought they were just fabulous

Very sad news, great jazz saxophonist, composer ,and his orchestra, “the Avengers Theme,African Waltz etc etc ,worked with everybody inc Charlie Parker, Miles Davis ,amazing talent.
