John Simpson was a radio presenter and actor in South Africa when I was a kid. I used to listen to him on the radio as there was no TV in S.A. in those days. He was born in the UK and served as a bomber pilot in the second world war, the reason I have posted this here.

Was a little bit of confusion at first for me! I thought he meant John Simpson, as in the World Affairs Editor of BBC News!
