With JT just appearing on tonights “Friday Night With Jonathan Ross” ( recorded yesterday ), he mentioned he arrived in the UK in his 707.
Anyone know where it landed, and is it still here?

“If he hadn’t made it to Shannon, it could have been the end of him. You could tell that he was very relieved.”
Oh. Dear. God. Give. Me. Strength.

And as reported in the ‘Sun’!

The 707 is stuck in Shannon at the moment, ‘technical difficulties’ struck whilst he was preparing to depart for Newark. Travolta and his entourage promptly boarded another private jet and flew home.
Full details here (Irish Independant). A free sub is required.
IT WAS a case of when the “Boeing gets tough, the toff gets going” for multi-millionaire movie star John Travolta early yesterday.
A jet owned and flown by one of Hollywood’s hottest properties was grounded at Shannon Airport after developing technical problems while returning to the US.
But the movie star of such films as ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Saturday Night Fever’ does not get ruffled too easily. The delay barely broke his stride, and within a few hours both he and his entourage were aboard another privately-owned jet to continue their journey.
He had been returning to Newark in New Jersey from Munich International Airport after he appeared on a German television programme at the weekend.
His Boeing 707-138, registered N707JT which he flies himself, arrived at Shannon late on Monday night on a scheduled refuelling stop, but it could not take off again because of engine trouble.
Engineers were called in to assess the problem but decided that the jet would have to remain at Shannon until the difficulty could be rectified.
The plane is expected to stay until late this evening at the earliest.
The star is no stranger to Ireland, but this time instead of taking the chance to stop over, he hopped on another private jet, and was airborne again by the early hours of yesterday morning.

This link shows his home, nice to be rich. I recall seeing a show showing him flying a F86 not sure if he still owns it.

John Travolta also recently donated one of his personal airplanes, a Canadair CL41 Tutor, to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

I’m delighted that John Travolta has a 707 and uses it to get around the World – more power to his elbow I say.
I’d be fascinated to know more about the financial aspects – he obviously has (and needs) deep pockets but can he/does he claim for it as a business expense against tax? How do his costs compare to all the air fares he saves on?

Here are a couple of shots as N707JT as it departed from Stansted runway 05. Its a shame it got up so quickly, but it was only going to Basle with 5 on board!
Phil
Sure it was going to Basle? JT was on a German TV programme last night from Cologne.
