Baby P story.
Steven Barker, who is serving a life sentence for his part in the toddler’s death, was reported to have been scalded by a burning mixture of sugar and boiling water hurled by another prisoner.

You won’t be too happy when Sharia law is eventually fully introduced into the UK then?
Firstly if it is, it will only be to a limited extent within the parametres of UK law and secondly it will only apply to Muslims. I am not a Muslim, so what they do within their religious context is up to them. However I am totally opposed to any laws operating here, other than indigenous UK law.

Revenge/Justice
The less faith people have in justice, the more they talk about revenge.
Scolding hot water on the bloke, is not justice, its violent revenge (and whoever did it, given their location may not be a piller of the community either)
If you openly condone such attacks you have to ask yourself surely if you would be willing to do it yourself.

No, of course it wasn’t but, the revenge, in anger, is equally uncivilised. It’s a trite cliche, but two wrongs do not make a right. So, you are obviously in favour of capital punishment, and presumably the perpetrator would have to die in the same manner in which he or she killed. And perpetrators of GBH would be beaten up before being imprisoned, I suppose.

So far he has got off lightly hopefully more to come.
Yes its uncivilised but he wasn’t very civilisied when he presumably thought he would get away with it.
He made his bed now its time to lie in it..
What a frightening attitude. But there are plenty of other “floggers and hangers around” so you are not alone.

What he did to that little boy was not civilised was it ? These days the punishment does not fit the crime. On top of that prison is not as hard as it used to be. For gods sake they have tellys in their cells. This monster got what he deserved and I applaud whoever did it ! And yes I do think it should be an eye for an eye. It would drastically cut down violent and abusive crime.

Is revenge – an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, necessarily justice? A violent act begetting another violent act has not moved us on in a civilised society, has it?
