The JSF winner is to be selected in the next few days. Lockheed look far ahead. In service date is now forward (for a change) to 2007. Boeing’s proper contender is still a paper aeroplane. The reason for redesign is that the ones flying now are predicted to have centre of gravity problems when carrying weapons under its wings. It’s predicted initial versions will not be fully capable.
