Does anyone have or know where to find a picture or drawing of a Jumo 211 J engine. Either cutaway or close ups or any photo to tell you the truth.
Also does anyone know where a plate bearing the following would have been placed.
Garat nr 19-5718 A-2
Fl E 571801 and BA 15 something after it
Werk nr 115714
more details later.
Thanks in advance.

data plate
Hi Drem
I was told on another site that the Werk nr would hardly ever match the aircraft it was fitted and that it would be a smaller component part of the aircraft so I am completely guessing here but could it be carb or starter motor.
Anyone any ideas.

Link to a photo here – looks like a data plate on the left hand side:

At the risk of showing you something you may have already come across, how about this:

Jumo
Hi Merlin,
Drem here.
What bugs me about the plate is the A-2 bit on it.
We know this aircraft was an a-4 which was then converted to an a-14 but does the A-2 bit suggest that bits and pieces were taken from other marks of JU88, the mystery deepens:confused:

Hi Roger,
This particular one was a JU88 A-14.

Try writing to the Brussels air museum. They had a Jumo some years ago. Could not make a proper photo of it. Did see it once, they may have put it in one of there famous storage facileties
