Plenty of historic, and soon-to-be historic action at Coltishall (or should that be Coldishall?) this weekend. I was lucky enough to be on base on the Saturday, certainly much less muddy than the farmers field! A first outing for my new 300D too.
Sadly I managed to miss the Spit/Jag flypast as I was recovering from frostbite in the 16 Squadron hangar, rushing outside in time to see a couple of nice passes by what appeared to be P7350.
The weekend marked the end of 16 and 54 squadrons, and with that in mind, I thought the tattered “Saint” decal on the fin of one of the 16 jets was somewhat poignant…

Shouldn’t take you too long.
Found it very capable on Thursday (all the snow cat pics are with the 300D and 75-300). 20D and 100-400 is an amazing combination though – focusses like greased lightning!

Bit of a case of “getting to know you” at the moment. Certainly like it, just a case of getting used to it.
