Chaps
Why don’t we start arranging a Forum getogether at the excellent Flypast sponsored CockpitFest at Newark?
It would be great if as many Forumites could attend and perhaps bring their projects (remember anything that is found in a cockpit interior can be displayed). It is a fantastic atmosphere….so what about it?
It would be nice if this could be a sticky to keep it in the forum’e eye for a month or so.
I will take a load of cockpit phots to lure you modellers out if you like and perhaps buy a load of bottles of Spitfire ale….. :dev2:

Newark Air Museum
Just to support the above, I have been two the last two cockpitfest events and it is a most enjoyable day out. The museum normally opens a few of the dispaly aircraft up enabling you to go inside for a closer inspection, examples being Vulcan, Shackleton, Hastings, Varsity, Canberra’s etc. In addition lots of like minded people to meet and a good aerojumble to browse through. This event gets better each year and is well worth a visit!

I should imagine that I’ll be there, my annual trip to splash out 50p and climb up into the Vulcan Cockpit (it is still there isnt it??? 😮 ) May struggle to get many regulars there as it clashes with Shuttleworth Sunset Display on the Sat night and Kemble on the Sunday.. but for those who haven’t been, Cockpit fest is a worth a look, along with the rest of the museum.. most of the museum exhibits are open too so you get the chance to try and squeeze into a Canberra amongst other things.. they normally manage to get the BBMF to squeeze in a flypast on their way to/from wherever they’re display that weekend..
