I found a Junghans J30bz clock at the boot fair this weekend. I have a few questions about it that I hope those with more knowledge will be able to help with.
Firstly this clock does not have any lugs to secure it to the panel with. I cannot tell if these have been ground off to mount in its wooden stand for desk use or if it was made with out them. We’re there any variants of this clock that were lugless?
Secondly the bezel on case front are painted green, almost the colour of some aircraft cockpits. I have only ever seen black clocks. Has this been repainted or were there green ones?
Lastly does anybody know of a reliable repairer of this type of timepiece, preferably near York. The balance swings and the hands set but it does not run. I guess it could be made to work, but certainly not by the likes highstreet watch repair shops.
Thanks for any suggestions.
