Ok. No photographs, but W.Nr 3358, V4+BS, of 8./KG1. Shot down by Beaufighter of 25 Sqn on 4 May 1941 flown by W/C D F W Atcherley and Flt Lt J Hunter-Todd . Two of crew killed along with licensee and two ohers and 3 soldiers billeted opposite the pub. The remains were demolished in 1964 and when work commenced for an underground fuel storage tank a 500kg bomb was found along with wreckage.
Hope that helps a bit?

This is a photo he sent me of the base…is that a bullet or mounting hole??? Would appreciate any details of the particular aircraft it came from to pass to him.

Yes Andy,It came from a JU88 that landed on the Butchers Arms Pub in Bourne ,Lincs after being shot down by a Beaufighter in May 1941. An old school friend sent me the pics the other day.It came via his father or grandfather who was a builder working on the site after the crash.I also have some parts from this aircraft but I was always told it crashed on Bourne Bus ?Garage. It turns out the Garage was built on the site of the pub after it remained derelict for many years.
