Hi All,
Just wondered if there was any interest in an historic version of the Dazza Just A Nice Pic thread from the (Modern Military Aviation) ? Solely for yesteryear images if so post away, if not then no problem and the mods can delete it. I’ll start it off with lovely shot below ….;)

Some lovely images here, but this thread is more relevant to the Photographic, rather than Historic forum.

Hi All,
Don – I personally just love images that make the subject look good and whether this be old stick and paste or from forumites personal archives, talking of which I haven’t taken any for years and still have about 15 undeveloped rolls of film stuck in a dark cabinet. I Even have a picture of the BP- P111 sitting forlornly on a patch of grass in front of a hanger at Bagington Airport in the 70’s (God that makes feel old :D)
My thinking is how can I transfer hard photo copies onto my PC with a crisp image other than the Epsom scanner I use at home ? Do I need any special Pc programme to do this or maybe a better scanner ?
Anyway here’s another one I like, courtesy of:- http://www.facebook.com/FlyASpitfire/?ref=page_internal ……..

Over 30 years ago, news of the visit to Canberra Airport of a particularly rare aircraft (albeit a modern copy of a truly historic machine), drew me to cycle over from the other side of town, with camera in the bag
Wow Don! That is a blast from the past for me. In your second photo to the right you will see a head in between the 2 guys closest to the aircraft. That is me! I was 16 and doing work experience with the local maintenance organisation at the time. Being a Vintage aircraft fanatic I was really excited to see the Southern Cross arrive and thrilled to be allowed to assist in refuelling her.
Cheers!
