Today at Hardwick, the engine of Marinell burst into life for the first time in 64yrs and a week, exactly 3 months after the engine was put into into the airframe.
Not a bad effort for the country folk of Norfolk!
A few pictures.

so is this museum day open to all ?? and what sort of thing can one expect ??
It is open to all (93rd Bomb Group Museum). Some of the aircraft may be tempted out of the hangar. Occasionaly some aircraft come in to visit, no set plan as such.

That big fan on the front seems to have blown away some of my hair.

The next Museum Day at Hardwick is July 20th.
That’s my birthday! Surely the wife will approve. 😉 Aha! She’s working that day. Mwahahaha… nothing can stop me now… apart from my 3 year old not wanting to go. But he loves planes!

Could someone please tell me what the story is in regards to the Wooden blade antenna? as I know both his other P51 and T6 also have these
They are all wood – this and some others are simply un-painted as they look nice that way!

Yikes. Some kind of Norfolk hoodie’s stolen your Mustang! 😀
Congratulations to all concerned. What a nice job!
