Am taking my girlfriend away in May to Tenerife for 5 nights to celebrate our first anniversary…and I’ve just booked my first ever flights with EZY!
They were the most logical option because even though I only live 30 minutes from LHR there are no direct flights to the Canary Islands, and I was looking at fares of £300+ each to fly with BA/IB via MAD, but EZY will get us both there for just over £330 from LGW, which includes the additional for “SpeedBoarding”. Reasonable flight times too as well with an early morning departure from LGW, and a late afternoon arrival back.
Does anyone know which terminal the flights will depart/arrive from at LGW, as I know that EZY now use both North and South Terminals?
UPDATE: Infact, if I had just taken a moment to check my confirmation e-mail before I posted, it tells me its North Terminal.:o

I flew by EZY to Tenerife in February and everything was fine. As you say its the North terminal, we had the 07:00 flight and it was chaos. Arrived at about 05:30 to find there was no difference in doing the bag drop than checking in old style. You still have to do it manually unlike the way things work in the US. The flight time was exactly 4 hours and flights were full both ways. Tenerife airport was very easy arriving about 11:15 local, was out within 30 min of landing. We too came back on the evening flight all very smooth checking in, security etc. We stay in a apartment about 3 miles from the end of runway right on the approach, heaven!:D
have a great time

It’s how they keep the fares low.
I’ve never been convinced that free seating speeds up turnrounds or saves airlines money, nor that EZY are cheaper than airlines that allocates seats, however…
You can’t have it both ways.
until it changes I won’t use EZY again even if it does mean paying slightly more for another carrier.

Enjoy your flights and holiday Cloud.
I will be full of praise for EZY if/when they introduce allocated seating, I HATE the current system, not so much the free seating onboard, more that they have you standing in queues as soon as the aircraft arrives on stand. The second of only two occassions that I used them they left everyone in the queues even while they saw to a tech problem. Speedy boarding is IMHO also a bit of a farce, on that same flight everyone at the gate bar an elderly couple were in the Speedy queue.
Shame really as both flights were fantastic once everyone was boarded and settled.

I have nothing but praise for EZY. Last Sept, my partner and I set off for a well deserved holiday in southern Italy. We flew outbound with RYR to SUF, but after only 3 days, I fell I’ll following a bad reaction to mosquito bites. We tried to get an early flight home with RYR, but they had no seat availability for 5 days, but we would have to pay for the dates to be changed. To cut a long story short, Easy took a booking by phone for the two of us to fly the next day, but from NAP. Only one seat was available at the very good fare. I explained my situation to the woman on the phone, and she made it possible for us to have the second seat at the cheap rate. On arriving at NAP, without us asking they had given us pre board at no cost, and on boarding the aircraft, the No1 told me that she had been advised of my condition and sat us in the very first row of seats. During the flight, we both had fruit juice and a bun each, and they did not charge anything for them. I’ll never forget Easy’s part in getting me home that night. That is customer service. Enjoy that trip with them:)
