Just for fun: undercarriage leg ID.

I was looking at the Pashley Bikes website today and came across a photo of the Parabike:

Anyone know what it’s leant up against?

If Pashley are seriously wanting to make an Airborne bicycle you should be able to do this with it. 😀

Haha – I love this forum – you tell me the type, the specific aircraft and its location.

Sorry it was so easy 😉

Simple google-fu:

Find where Pashley are based:

http://www.pashley.co.uk/contact.php

gives Stratford
Probably took photo near their offices, so
Google “air museum stratford” gives a first hit of

http://www.midlandsheritage.co.uk/basement-archives/3418-stratford-aircraft-collection-long-marston-warks-1-92-a.html

which has a picture of a Shackleton matching yours.

(just in case someone mistook me for an expert on noselegs :D)

Just to be really boring, i have it on good authority that the nose legs on aw argosies are the same?

Nose legs aren’t the same, Shackleton Mk.3s sit way off the ground the Argosy is as low to the ground as you can get!
Do you mean the nose wheels?

Argosys’ wings were based on Shack 3 wings.

Agreed on both type and location – Chris gets it after 2 minutes.

It’s a shackleton and I’d hazzard a guess that it is the one at long marston given Pashley’s location.
