Afternoon all,
Here are my pics from last night, not very good I’m affraid and just as they struck her up the heavens opened up so the cam had to go away.

Some shots from inside the hanger…..

That’s the best I could manage, new camera and a stronger tripod is on the horizon me thinks, comments very welcome.
Regards,
John.

Thats the Spitfire VB BL655, the pilot was unfortunatley killed in the crash, while it seems a bit gruesome to have this wreck on display it really brings home what was given by so many and it’s display speaks thousands of words, I stood silent for what seemed an age just thanking all those who faught for what was right all those years ago.
Regards,
John.
Oh thank you John for the information , Thats a shame he died 🙁 I think I would be silent looking at the wreck aswel with a lump in the thoat.

Nice pics.
I like the way the light is behind the outer port engine. It sillouhettes it beautifully.
and i agree. sometimes pictures speak louder than words, in regards to the plane wreck. It gives you a better sense of what was being gambled when they flew for Britain. Much better than reading about it in a book.
