Thank you for the info.
The reason I asked is I was talking to some one at an auction in Gainsborough who said (friend of a friend blah blah, I know) he knew some body who found a spitfire when plowing a field. The aircraft was taken to a local museum and the farmer still has a propeller on his living room wall. I was told Sandtoft area.

Thats Spitfire VB BL655, the pilot was killed when it crashed near Spilsby in Lincolnshire on the 1st of July 1943.

😮 I’m glad we couldn’t hear the PA then from where we were huddling behind the control tower.
Or if it doesn’t work

I’m afraid my camera didn’t like the dark so mine are all out of focus 🙁
Got some video of the fireworks though, but I doubt they count lol 😀

Hi,
The last three or four minutes of this video are of the night run :

Somewhat of a meagre effort given the great photos already posted!
A great event, but awful weather. Had to eat plenty of ostrich burgers to keep my emergy up what with all the shivering.
Had to dry the camera out too when we got home.
Regards,
S.

Afternoon all,
Here are my pics from last night, not very good I’m affraid and just as they struck her up the heavens opened up so the cam had to go away.

Some shots from inside the hanger…..

That’s the best I could manage, new camera and a stronger tripod is on the horizon me thinks, comments very welcome.
Regards,
John.

Just uploading mine now, the pics on UKAR are superb and the chap who took the ones with her engines running was very brave becouse it was slinging it down and water+cameras=disaster for me usually.
