We are all thinking of you today Fred – Really miss our chats at East Kirkby but know you’re always present whenever we visit. Thank you for the wonderful legacy that you have left for the generations to come, Lancaster NX611 ‘Just Jane’ and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre – was an honour to have known you. RIP ‘good friend’ – your legacy is secure in the safe hands of your dedicated family members.
Won’t be too long now Fred !! You and Chris together now – how can anyone doubt our “Jane” will soon finish her take off run and delight her dedicated followers as she enters Lincolnshire’s ‘Big Skies’ once again. I hope I will be privileged to see that day in person.

We visited East Kirkby 10 days ago – Just Jane looked amazing, a total credit to the Panton family and everyone else involved in the restoration. A real pity that Fred passed away too soon 🙁
