Just passing by!

Three visitors on Sunday August 31st, passing Horspath in Oxfordshire. I was taking photos of a cricket match, and just happened to have a 400mm lens on a DX body – so plenty of length in hand, matron.

Something tells me this one might not have been heading to/from an airshow…

Last, but not least, I nearly widdled myself when this one emerged from behind the trees and banked across me. Hand held, big lens, no stabilisation bar a shoulder stock, manual focus… I’m pretty impressed with the sharpness attainable! At full scale, I can see the pilot and read the serial without any trouble at all.

I think I need to get to Old Warden now!

You have to do something while you are waiting to bat!

There’s a lesson there, don’t waste time watching cricket!
