Just plane dozy

A sleeping teenager flew home to Bulgaria from Malta — and then back to Malta — after air crew apparently failed to notice she was still on the plane.

Maria Ilieva, 17, was travelling alone and fell asleep on an Air Malta plane taking her overnight from Valletta to Sofia. Unfortunately she had returned to Malta by the time she woke up, the girl’s family said.
“Air Malta officials said the airplane was not a place for sleeping. But I have not seen any signs saying ‘No sleeping’. I have only seen signs saying ‘No smoking’,” said the girl’s mother, Nadezhda Vulova.

Maria had to pay 200 euros ($A335) for the second flight home.

Mind you, does this perhaps raise a few eyebrows on Air Malta’s checks and procedures for turning around and prepping an aircraft?

On a Jet2, flight last month, just as Everybody stands up and piles towards the front of the aircraft for,,,,, gues what ,,,,

The doors that are not even open yet !!!!

The captian announced that all passangers must take their rubbish with with them, as this aircraft shall not have time to be cleaned nor checked prior to its return flight back to manchester…

Surely that in itself is not good for security or the airline ?

Certainly not the first time it has happened, I think most surprising is someone managed to sleep so soundly and so long onboard, time to fly AMC I think!

I think it wasn’t quite as simple as this, the flight had stops in it or something. Not entirely sure though

You may well be right

HA HA… I thought falling asleep on the train was bad enough, someone had to go and better it.
