dark light

Just thought this was a nice pic !

Don’t know much about this A300 but it looks good in Caledonian’s hybrid scheme.

dunno if i agree with u in that remark, because i find cally’s colour scheme to be…….not very pleasant….
however, i feel air scandic should be renamed to something more appropriate, like “Air MSWord” or something like that:D

Ren have to disagree with you on this one. Looks dull, boring and very Airfrance(dirty):D

well i belive a “lease” or “dry-lease” if you will is just the basic leasing of an aircraft airframe. a “wet-lease” on the other hand is the actual airframe, flight crew, cabin crew and even the likes of Insurance I think.

e.g Air Holland operating for Air Scotland!?

Indeed a nice photograph.

Silly question, but what’s the difference between just a “lease” and then a “wet-lease”? I read about it so much on the forums and in Airliner World but haven’t a clue.

Certianly looks better there than it does now in the Air Scandic colour scheme!

can anyone confirm or unconfirm my memories of CKT operating the A300 as part of a wet-lease agreement with Air Scandic? I believe the aircraft was only ever positioned at Glasgow because of operational restrictions CKt had with the rest of the fleet in that size cat e.g. L1011/DC10. Anyone shed any light??

While we’re on the subject of airscandic, does anyone have any idea what the fleet proposals are going to be in the near future? The last I heard the A300’s were either going to be scrapped or sold on for cargo conversion with the 757 being slated to take-over the ops!?

Cheers,

LGKR
