Air France A300 are still very much operational.

Air France use a mixture of A320 and B737 a/c on the CDG-MAN route. They no longer have the A300 in their fleet, but do have the A310.
There is only 1 female in here?? I have been on other forums and there is always at least 10 females that I know off so it surprises me that there is only 1.

I dunno, i find the A300 a little on the uncomfortable side. I have only travelled in Indian Airlines A300. They are quite old.

Air France flies A-320 aircraft to Amsterdam.
So that`s not too big?

They really fly A-300`s to Manchester?
A-300`s are great aircraft to fly with (I think so) , I flew on them a lot in hailand,and I really enjoyed it!
Flew 777-200 there also,and ATR-42/72.
And although I enjoyed the A-300, the 777-200 RULEZZZZZ!!!
(sorry for the airbus lovers)

Thanks for your friendly comments Jet Lag and Kabir. I have to say that the vast majority of people I’ve come across in aviation – at museums, in enthusiasts shops and the regular “spotters” at Heathrow have always treated me well, though I’ve read that some other female aviation fans haven’t been so lucky as I have. I don’t really like to give my age away, but I’m too young to remember the first flight of Concorde! To give you some idea though I’m older than 21 and younger than 35, and that is all I’m saying!!! I’m now looking forward to going on holiday in June – Manchester to Paris CDG, hopefully on an Airbus (if so, it will be my first flight in any Airbus aircraft!) and my first flight with Air France, but first I have to sit two exams towards my degree!

I was interested to read your query on whether there are any females on this forum. I can answer that question for you. There has been a female contributor on this forum for months – ME!!!
I am extremely interested in aviation – I used to help my Grandfather make model aircraft – he had served in the RAF, and I was a regular at the old Finningley air show. I used to love visiting Heathrow, and whenever I am in London I take the camcorder along to see what I can get any decent shots of (only landing so far, I want to get some good take off footage). I have flown on many different aircraft types, visited museums etc. My major interest is de Havilland, hence my sign in name.

I mean, if I went with someone to a station I don’t think that i could tell one train from the other. As long as aviation make an impression on someone….. that’s what matters to me…….:) J’aime le Avion!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

V1 is this Dejavu or somethin. I took my gf to see the Concorde when it came first time in India, and she was pointin to another aircraft and sayin ” Whats so special about this plane, theres like it another one, there”. Pitty she was pointing towards a B757 of Royal Nepal. Inside i was thinkin how can u confuse a 757 with a Concorde.

Haha, well, my girlfriend was blonde,and she just couldn`t understaand the difference between propello-aircraft end jet-aircraft
Fortunately she left my life now (my choice) and now I am a happy single!
So now it`s possible to ga to Amsterdam airport and check out planes without any stupid questions being asked!!

But….I still am a little dissapointed that there still isn`t one girl on this forum.
What happened to “GIRL POWER”??????
I was expecting at least one or two girls here, but it doesn`t seem to be that way.

My girlfriend is blonde actually! I remember back in December, I took her to BHX to see the first Emirates departure to Dubai. I took much interest in this for various reasons, but mainly because I love the A330. Witnessing this beast taxying to the runway threshold, she turns and says to me “It looks the same as that plane over there!” It is a pity she was pointing at a 737-500 whilst saying this!

My wife is still surprised about my hobby…I fly a lot and still peep around airports with a camera, spotting funny ‘tails’
For her sake, all those flying cigars are airbusses.

However, my 9 year old daugther loves planes.
When looking up, she frequently regognises the type of airliner, the company and can tell what uniforms the cabin crew wear.
Yes, she wants to become stewardess!

Nice on V1….my gf HATES aeroplanes sooo much. SOmetimes people say how come u both came together, i dunno even if she knows these aeroplanes have seating places or you have to stand in them.
