However, this year Southampton Airport Authority have declined to commit the use of the runway and the Airport until a decision later this month.

In a statement the airport said: “Unfortunately due to staff resources and the day-to-day running of a busy airport we can only work with one organisation at a time.
“Details of our own celebrations will be released shortly.”
It would be interesting to know how long ago they asked…
Just playing devils advocate here, but shouldn’t Solent Sky Museum have had this all approved months ago…??
Whichever way, shame on you Southampton for not playing ball…
