Read a good article in Combat Aircraft about the Hokum series a few days ago, and it renewed my interest in this helicopter…specifically the two-seat Ka-52. I’m trying to get clarification on the weapons options the Ka-52 has. To my knowledge the Ka-52 has four hardpoints, two under each stub wing. A fuel tank can be carried on each of the hardpoints. A B-8 or B-13 rocket pod can be carried on each of the four hardpoints. Vikhr or Ataka anti-tank missiles can be carried on the outboard hardpoints. Igla two-packs can be carried on all four hardpoints. Aphid or Archer missiles can be carried on all four hardpoints. Karen or Kegler missiles can be carried on all four hardpoints. UPK-23-250 (right designation) 23-mm cannon pods can be carried on all four hardpoints. Then, of course the 2A42 30-mm cannon has 470 rounds. Is all this info correct? Can bombs or KMGU dispensers be carried?
Is the mast-mounted radar a standard option?
Any other available underwing stores?
Are the wingtip things countermeasures dispensers?
