Ka-60… again.

About an hour ago I spoke to a friend of mine who works indirectly for the Ministry of Internal Affairs here in Serbia; he had just returned from a conference on internal security and anti-terrorist techniques in Russia. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the MUP guys he was with had taken a particularly keen interest in a police variant of the Ka-60. So much so that he seemed convinced that it is possible that the Ka-60 (with whatever sub-designation the police variant has) might one day become part of the MUP inventory.

Seeing as I didn’t beleive him or the hope that the MUP would get such fancy new equipment any time soon we’ll ignore that. The conversation, however, did re-awaken my interest in the Ka-60 and its progress towards being operational somewhere… anywhere.

Any information regarding the Ka-60 would be most appreciated.
