In Civil Aviation Exhibition 2009, a trial event held last month for the thai government to create some real air show in the future.
KASET Green Hawk display team is belong to The Bureau of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation (KASET), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Its role is to provide the rainmaking mission all over the country since Thailand is amont of the first country who develop a weather-control technology for many decades.
Green Hawk is a part time display team. It is a spin off from their ordinary mission that they need to fly in formation into the cloud or storm to “attack” those cloud by selected rainmaking solution to make the rain fall. They use their free time and training hours to invent some display formation. Green Hawk made a debut several years ago.
They use Caravan and Grand Caravan as their main aircraft, the number is between 4 – 9 aircrafts.
Please enjoy watching this unique display team! 😀

They will fly at least every year in national children’s day on the second saturday of January in KASET air base in Nakorn Sawarn Province. They should be a multi-color smoke on that day. 🙂
PS. I used Fuji S9600 for this set of photo.
