Kawanishi

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-10-02 AT 05:31 AM (GMT)]This airplane was restored by Gosshawk Aviation and is on display at the Champlin Fighter Museum in Mesa, Arizona. Ownership of the aircraft actually lies with the Smithsonian and I imagine it may end up at the new facility in Dulles when Champlin moves to the MoF in 2003. The restoration on this airplane is fantastic and I will be quite sorry to see it go as chances are I will not see another. Go here for the big picture: http://www.pbase.com/image/6485768

PS-The wrinkles in the skin on the fuse are due to the light alloy used on the aircraft and not the result of poor workmanship!

RE: Kawanishi

It is an N1K1 Glenn. Sorry, I meant to put that in there somewhere and forgot.
