I have been looking at the vast numbers of pictures from MAKS 2005, and the Kazan Ansat-2R caught my eye. It appears to be light armed recconaisance helicopter. Is it just a mock-up or has it actually been flown? The board in front of the helicopetr appears to show it in flight but this could just be a CGI??? It certainly has a model like look about it (pilot is certainly a model).
It is obviously based on the Kazan Ansat light utility helicopter which has already flown. I have been to the Kazan website but this dosnt appear to have been updated recently.
There appears to be a small hatch with a window in it at the rear of the helicopter, does anybody know the purpose of this?
