KC-135 goes low level through the Mach Loop 20 Aug 24.

It must be the silly season !   A KC-135 from the 100th ARW flew two passes in the Mach Loop yesterday, presumably a frustrated fighter pilot.

KC-135 historic ?  Well, it entered service in 1957 (67 years ago !), so let’s say yes.  Maybe it was inspired by the Red Bull DC-6 which also had a go, back in June.

Very impressive.

I’m certain “The Bloody One-Hundredth” also flew in the Mach Loop earlier in the Summer or Spring this year. However, didn’t see any pics of it.

Edit – it happened 9 May 24. Details on Key Aero website Military News Archive.
