KC-17, MC-17?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-01-02 AT 06:34 PM (GMT)]To date, only one version of the Globemaster III has been produced; the basic C-17A transport. However, design studies of a tanker/transport version of the C-17 have been undertaken (KC-17). This would have extra fuel capacity and an interchangeable cargo door containing ‘flying boom’ and hose drum unit refule equipment.
Does anyone have more info about this so called KC-17?

I also heard something like the MC-17, a version specially designed for the special operations (replacement for the MC-130????).

Is there also going to be a civil version of the C-17? I can imagine this would reduce costs significantly, but a candidate for the much cheaper Russian heavy cargo lifters? (like the An-124 etc)
