As a Royal if you pop yer baps out shouldn’t you expect to get snapped?
Or did the news papers suddenly attain morals while I was away?

Nice to see just what we are getting for our tax money – in this case we seem to have been shortchanged.
Just a storm in a b-cup.

By: BSG-75 - 19th September 2012 at 18:58
You wouldn’t see the Queen ever dropping them out…….. Thank God
Now if it had been Helen “Melons” Windsor, I might have been more sympathetic…

To commemorate the release of the topless photos of Kate Middleton, Royal Doulton will be releasing a Collector’s Edition of two small jugs.
on the issue itself, I really cannot contain my indifference…… far more important things going on in a) my life and b) the world in general.
I bet this story will run longer in the red tops than the two tragic murders in Manchester……

I have no sympathy for the ‘royal’ couple at all.
I have immense sympathy with this fine young couple who have had their privacy invaded by some money grabbing photographer.
It must be remembered that these people live a grand life at the UK taxpayer’s expense and, accorded such privilege simply because of an act of birth, must be prepared to take the rough with the smooth.
The Royal Family work hard. The cash we provide enables them to do their job. For the most part they are a great credit to this country.
The sooner the UK becomes a republic with an elected and accountable Head of State, the better.:mad
President Thatcher, Commissar Blair………..UGH!!!!
What makes you think because a head of stated is elected, they will be accountable. We have 630 MPs who are elected but hardly feel they are accountable. Elected for five years, they they go off to Westminster and do what suits them.
Do you think an elected head of state would come for free? I think not.

This story was discussed earlier this week on a popular morning talk show on radio in Washington. Two points emerged:
1 — French attorneys were saying that the couple had a solid legal case.
2 — The couple is lucky that the matter concerns a telephoto lens, not a telescopic sight……

Sorry, you’ll have to enlighten me? The allusion is a little obscure.
Moggy
Rather obvious…men, when seen naked, are often hairy.
Don’t overthink it.
My main point still stands….of all people they should not assume anything when it comes to privacy.
You’d think after all the recent events they (or their security team) would learn that.

@ AL
… yawn …

I’m no royalist by any means, but for many on here, if your wife and/or children were relaxing in the privacy of a secluded garden, then someone popped up with a camera and started snapping away, I suspect that said photographer would have needed surgery to remove camera and lens.
In this case the peeping tom was too far away to be spotted leaving only recourse to law and I hope they jail the bar steward.

Maybe the royals are making so much of a fuss because they know there’s the shagging photos still to be published…

…and Prince Harry the hairy…hasn’t.

There was some Frenchy on Radio 4 Monday morning, askig what all the fuss was about. “You British should relax about it”.
Well, how about “The paparazzi contributed to killing my mother, along with the incompetant French ambulance drivers etc. etc. etc.”
I hope the magazine is closed, the photographer ruined. And let it be a lesson to other scumbags that we are not having this any more.

Have we learned nothing from the Diana debacle?
Moggy
The “royal” we?
Yes WE have, but it seems they…and Prince Harry the hairy…hasn’t.
By all means, she’s entitled to privacy…but they really should have learned by now that there are plenty of people out there with long lenses and there is money to be made.
In her new role she’ll have to keep her top on (the price she’ll have to pay for a pretty nice lifestyle)…just like the commoners at a public beach….or go somewhere where privacy is assured. I’m sure she can afford to hire a private island or yacht somewhere.
By: spitfireman - 16th September 2012 at 01:02
Totally agree.
By: Mr Creosote - 15th September 2012 at 20:53
She knew the risks and requirements of her new role when she joined “The Firm” and having chosen to ignore them is now paying the price. Is it really so difficult to just keep your top on outside? And as for being “in private” I suspect there were any number of flunkeys and so-called security people (though fat lot of good they seem to be) who she was quite happy to let catch an eyefull. Not what we are entitled to expect from a future queen, IMHO. What happened to good old fashioned dignity and decorum and keeping things private for your husband?

Moggy
Kate obviously didn’t 😉
What a load of fuss about nothing…so a young lady shows her boobs…big deal – and quite normal on the continent FFS.
Heavy handed over reaction from the palace methinks
By: spitfireman - 15th September 2012 at 13:14
….think they’re making mountains out of molehills……….
By: Moggy C - 15th September 2012 at 09:15
If anyone’s interested, type ‘Closer Magazine’ in Google images…
Not me.
It’s the one tiny contribution I can make to giving her the privacy she’s entitled to and deserves.
