Shame about Sunday with the grey cloud but again some great flying despite the unseasonably good weather on Saturday??????
I will definitely go again next year if the Open Day has another small flying display.

Can anyone tell me more about this plane? The wings look kind of familiar! Now where have I seen that eliptical shape before??
Its a Silence Twister, a German kit-built plane.

Hi Martin,
Some very nice photos as always… 🙂 Looks like you had some good Wx on the Saturday. As you said a very relaxed atmosphere and well worth the £10 entry fee. Will certainly go both days next year esp if they are combining the great vintage flying week end again.
All the best
Cliff

2008 Airshows
Kemble used to be a huge RAF maintenance base but today is a civilian airfield which is home to an established flying club and other operators including the Delta Jets fleet which is based here and regularly fly their Hunters at Airshows. An amazing array of historic aircraft can also be seen at the Bristol Aero Collection Museum at Kemble. Kemble has several events during the year including the popular Kemble Air Day in June, Fly-ins, and Open Days.

Thank you for your nice comments.
Despite the smaller display on Saturday, I found both days very relaxing. I see that the main Kemble Air Day will be a two day event next year. I can’t wait.
Cheers
Martin
