Another very pleasing ‘garden party’ atmosphere at Kemble today for the airfield (I note they are now calling themselves Kemble Airport!) open day.
The usual fayre was on offer, but for me the ‘star’ of the day was seeing the return of Robs Lamplough’s P-51D Mustang, “Miss Helen” back on the circuit after its accident a couple of years ago. Pleased to see the Britannia had been brought over to the north side to join the party and nice to see the BBMF send a Hurricane & Spitfire, although disappointed they didn’t land to refuel.
Here are a few shots of the highlights.
Rapide G-AEML with the RAF’s display Hawk

Air Atlantique brought their lovely Prentice for pleasure flights.

One of Alan House’s Provosts (XF877/G-AWVF) during its display

Trainers old and new – Vampire T.55 G-HELV’XJ771′ with RAF Hawk

Robs Lamplough’s Mustang, G-BIXL “Miss Helen” inbound from Filton

Yet another fantastic display by Andy Cubin in Delta Jets “Blue Diamond” Hunter T.7

I’m glad to see Miss Helen back in the sky.

I will never forgive myself for missing this party 🙁
But I ran out of money (unexpected bills) 🙁 so couldn’t raise enough to buy the petrol.
Thanks (for making me so miserable). Only joking nice shots.
