This is a sick world where a man doing a job that would have benefited Iraq in the long wrong,He was not a Military man he had no guns a peace loving man.
How in this day and age scum like this can do such evil and barbaric way,Where will this all end i wonder whether we should even have people there working to rebuild Iraq the terrorists wil carry on using this method to hold the west to ransom,And anyone who gets caught up with them is doomed sadly,They have to be stopped.
My respects go to the Bigley family they do not deserve this pain and loss .
R.I.P Ken Bigley.

I found that pretty disgraceful.

Indeed, a terrible thing that should never have happened. But don’t get thinking his motives were truly altruistic. He was paid handsomely for his services and knew all the risks before he got involved. It was a happy side effect that his work helped ordinary Iraqis. That does not excuse his murderers though. Our thoughts have to be with his family, particularly his mother.
The family now need time to grieve, there will never be a right time for recriminations and the comments of one brother I hope are just a result of anger and not of belief.
Billy Connolly’s alleged outburst (I believe he has denied it in the press?) are unworthy of one of our finest and funniest comedians. If true, I sincerely hope he never works again.

I kind of agree. People not involved in the military shouldn’t stay in Irak for now. It’s asking for trouble …

terrible news. 🙁
i’m starting to think the poor block and his familiy might even have been better off had those ****heads just killed him at the begining with the americans. at least then they would have been spared all the pain, humilitation and dashed hopes the bigleys went through over these past dark weeks.

Awful news, but not entirely unexpected. Dragging it all out for so long must have been indescribably painful for the family though, my thoughts are with them this morning. 🙁

Ken Bigley’s brother announced on TV that they had seen absolute proof that he was dead. I cannot even begin to imagine what that “proof” was.
By: adwwebber - 9th October 2004 at 10:56
Is this now confirmed, was only speculatiuon yesterday i gathered from the news ?
If so my thoughts are with his family to lose someone in such dispicable circumstances is a pain noone should go through.

My thoughts go out to the family of Ken Bigley and the other hostages who have been brutally murdered.
I can only second Comets thoughts.

I cannot imagine how awful the past three weeks have been for that poor man’s family, and then to hear such news yesterday when they had raised hopes that he would be released. I cannot imagine either how horrendous it must have been for Ken Bigley to be forced to appear on those sick videos begging for his life to be spared. The TV station which shows the videos of the hostages being murdered should be bloody ashamed of themselves and be forcibly shut down.
My thoughts go out to the family of Ken Bigley and the other hostages who have been brutally murdered.
May the scum who did this burn in eternal hell.

I can’t find adequate words to describe what him and his family must have gone through these past 3 weeks.
My thoughts are with his family, and may he rest in peace.
