It was anounced today that the perfered buyer for both Kendell and Hazelton airlines has been accepted with thier offer.
Australiawide is now the owner of the two airlines and will move to merge both into a single name over the next year.
“We plan on continuing the service as it is at the moment, and opperating on the regional basis. We have been in talks with the major airlines about offering feeder line services to their own flights and it’s too early to say what will happen at the moment” said the spokesman for the firm.
One thing that he did shy away from but has been revield, is that with the merger comes a price, and that price is 300 jobs from both sections.
The deal was approved without hesitation, since it was made public that both the Federal and NSW state governments have put money towards Australiawaides bid! “NSW stands to loose the most should the deal have collapsed, as most of the two airlines employees live in this state and we are just getting back on track after the disasterous unemployment figures from last year” said premire Bob Carr.
Opperations will start under the new firm next Monday with services returning to all 29 routes immediately.

RE: Kendell and Hazelton buy confirmed!
GD1: Kendell has not been opperating, Hazelton has. A couple of months ago I was in Wagga and drove past Kendell’s main base there only to see all of the A/c sitting in open storage. It was a very sad sight, especially for the new CRJ-70’s, man they are good looking!

Are they retaining the Ansett color scheme. Kendall has continued operations even after the grounding of Ansett, have they not?
