Evidently work was due to start on digging at former RAF Kenley on 7 August last year. Did it happen? Project leader was Wing Commander David Lainchbury, project manager for the Gravesend Hurricane recovery attempt. (See Gravesend Hurricane thread) Evidently they found some “anomalies” on a geo physical survey that may have been aircraft fuselages. Or were they Thames barges again!!? Is that why it all went quiet? :diablo:
