This is terrible news, no doubt the owners will now be able to bulldoze the remains, this all seems far to convenient, given the trouble they have had going through the planning process.
That thought crossed my mind as well.

That is really depressing to see.
What a complete and utter waste of our heritage.
Left to rot and decay for years only to suffer the same fate as the control tower.
