Kermits A26 flys after nearly 30 years

This brief flight was back in May, the video only came out this week. I thought something was up when I checked FlightAware and saw the flight was so short . Glad it worked out ok. Now you can see why they have helmets and goggles.   The airplane only came back out of the hangar again in past couple of weeks. 

For those skipping through the vid, the canopy blow-out is at 3.15 seconds.  
 

Hard helmets are not always worn in warbird operations, but especially on a test flight it seems a pretty good idea !

Blimey , that was dramatic , it always makes me wonder how they understand what is said on the radio.
