Well lets hope it does solve the problem, because its quite annoying coming on to the net and going to this forum to only find that its out or order(so to speak) again!

The forum will be moved over to our new server on Monday 17th November. This will hopefully solve the stability issues by having more server processing power, memory and bandwidth available.

For what it´s worth, I visit another vBulletin Version 2.3.2 board, Windows BBS and it has a data base much larger than Key Publishing Ltd Forums and to my knowledge, Windows BBS is very stable. I have never seen a crash but it can happen that it is accessible for a few minutes when the daily backup of the data base is created.

Yep… remember those discussions way back when the forum was transferred from a text-based to database? Too bad the one person i can remember to have absolutely blind faith in a database-system no longer visits these boards.
It probably has to do with the size of the database getting too big. So much data, so little disc space and bandwith.
