Key Publishing poor performance

Hi all,
I just wanted to vent a bit……
I recently purchased a subscription to PC Pilot which included the copy of Tips Tricks and Trips for FSX. Excellent I thought!! 2 great Mags first up and then my subscription would follow.

I live in Sydney Australia so expect a bit of a delay from the UK. When I ordered the subscription I back ordered a couple of issues as well so expected them to show up first or as well with the offer magazine.

Almost 3 weeks later and still nothing. I contacted Key Publishing and was told there was a mistake and that my back ordered mags would be sent out via airmail, that was over a week or so ago and still nothing. How long am I expected to wait? When I questioned again about the free mag was told to expect to wait 8 weeks for delivery. I mean come on, if I had known it was like this I would just wait and walk into the newsagent and buy it.

And the ” free mag offer ” it would have been nice to have included the small fact that if you take up the subscription your mag is not included with the first mail out but months later.

What a joke!! 😡
It has left a bad taste this whole thing.

Beware others who are considering taking up the offer as well!!

Any of you that have had problems with subscriptions, can you email me direct at webmaster @ keypublishing.com or in case of PC Pilot email me at mail @ pcpilot.net and I will follow it up with the subs department.

Cheers

FlyPast was on the shelves last month at Tesco in Amersham.

No sign this month though. Perhaps they all sold out on the first day……

I’ve had 2 attempts at subscribing to Flypast and each time ended in lost and late deliveries and the pain of subsequent phone calls of complaint, though to be fair, they dealt with things very quickly and efficiently. It has generally been easier to buy the mag at my local W H Smiths.
Subscribing means you have the right of access to the Flypast enclosure at selected airshows, pity you can’t do that when you have purchased every single copy since the magazines birth, now that’s a few hundred quids worth.
One good thing, they’ve started selling the mag at our local Tescos, looks a bit wierd amongst the OK type magazines, wonder how long that will last.

Come to think of it, it’s all gone quiet on the western front regarding the sub I took to the new airlines factpack periodical advertised in last month’s magazine…

Did anyone else go for it ?
