Kh-35 air-launch video

Here’s a link to a video of the Kh-35 being air launched:

http://www.aviapedia.com/2006/05

At 3:58, an Indian Il-38 fires one.

Good shots of the Bal land-based mobile TEL firing some rounds off as well.

That was a nice Clip of the Kh-35 missile.

Correct me if iam wrong. Indian Navy Il-38 was even been fitted with Sea-Eagle Missiles right?. Right now Il-38 uses Kh-55 but later it gonna be replaced another Air-Breathing Monster Brahmos-A

Il-38 Model with Brahmos Air Launched Version (Makes more sense than three Brahmos on a Sukhoi-30MKI)

Right now Uran Missiles are Equipped with IN Tu-142, Il-38 and Delhi Class Destroyers, Whereas in futher they will be fitted with IN MiG-29K.

Austin, from what I have been able to get, the Kh-35E (AS-20 Kayak ASSC) only get IOC in the 2000s…check that Radar-MMS used some platforms to test the ARGS-35E seeker on airborne conditions till recently!.

Maybe IN is the first user of the thingie, I have some suspicious that Yemen could be another…not really sure that it’s identical to ship launched 3M24E.

Do you have any feedback from 3M24E AShM from Indian Navy?

Anything could be useful…

1 ) In which year did the SS-N-25/Kh-35 entered Soviet Naval service ?

I am not fully sure but I think the Uran first came into service on the Neustrashimy class frigates. That would be 1993-94.

Thats Nice video , specially the upgraded IL-38SD and the Khukri class corvette firing it ,
It seems that one can varry the speed of KH-35/Uran ( engine throttle ) to achieve a greater range than the advertised 130Km.

1 ) In which year did the SS-N-25/Kh-35 entered Soviet Naval service ?
2 ) Did they go beyond the basic and single version which is offered in the export market ?

Thanks in Advance
Austin
